Former Congressman Paul Broun discusses immigration, U.S. Constitution at first 2019 ACC GOP meeting

Broun said that in 2018 through Trump’s advisors, he recommended that Trump send the military to secure the border. He said he wishes Trump would send the military again now with rubber bullets, tear gas and “whatever they need.”

“We absolutely must secure the border and we must start enforcing the laws that are in the books,” Broun said.

According to Broun, former presidents George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton,George W. Bush and Barack Obama “didn’t want to secure the border” and “didn’t want to enforce the laws, so they didn’t.”

Trump, Broun said, is a president “who wants to enforce the law.”
